Description

Introduce terms research, classify, categorise and chart.
Find elements to reorder students in the class (e.g. eye colour, height, colour of jacket or sweater, type of lunch container, whatever is available, etc).
Count the number of students in the classification.
Record findings in charts displayed within the workspace.

This lesson includes four activities. Each activity may take about 1/2 hour of group time.

These may be used on separate occasions to reinforce the concepts included in each activity. The activities may be used to highlight mathematical, or social skills.
